Senior Underwriter, Northeast

For our client, a leader in the Information Technology space, we are seeking a Senior Underwriter to join their team. This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal accounts for enterprise segment while adhering to underwriting guidelines and risk appetite
• Manage senior and specialty broker relationships, actively engaging in client interactions for high-stakes accounts
• Ensure disciplined underwriting documentation and compliance with the company’s workflows
• Facilitate detailed discussions on complex coverage needs and non-standard underwriting structures
• Apply technical underwriting expertise to assess risks for larger organizations and their subsidiaries
• Guide and mentor junior underwriters on best practices and strategies for successful broker communication
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Claims) to enhance underwriting decisions and client results
• Influence regional underwriting practices and process improvements tailored to sophisticated business needs

Qualifications

• 5+ years of underwriting experience, especially in high-complexity cyber and Technology E&O for large enterprises ($1B+ revenue)
• Proficient in analyzing complex cyber and technology risks and their impact on underwriting decisions
• Skilled in aligning underwriting solutions with broker and client needs and communicating them effectively
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in executive-level dialogues with brokers and clients
• Experience in mentoring underwriters and contributing to underwriting governance and standards

Pay

$120,000 – $160,000 annually
