This is a full-time, individual-contributor role for a Senior UI/UX Designer with 5–7 years of experience, specializing in connected IoT consumer products. You will lead end-to-end design on complex initiatives, mentor junior designers, and elevate the team’s craft. As the Containment Experience Lead, you will own the full experience for our containment and tracking products, including physical setup, in-app features, and ongoing use. You will work embedded in engineering teams, collaborate closely with hardware teams, and shift into new product development (NPD) mode when new products enter your domain.
Requirements
- Deep experience with connected hardware / IoT consumer products.
- Has shipped a hardware product end-to-end (not just an app that talks to hardware).
- Comfortable designing for setup, pairing, connectivity states, and firmware updates.
- Comfortable embedded in engineering teams and working within hardware constraints.
- Portfolio should demonstrate strong signal in: out-of-box experience flows, device pairing flows, and designs that handle real-world hardware edge cases (offline states, low battery, sync failures).
