Senior Trust & Safety Policy Manager
About the role
As Linktree’s Senior Manager, Trust & Safety, you will own the development, evolution, and governance of our content and behavior policies, ensuring they are clear, enforceable, and aligned with both platform values and global regulatory expectations. This role is responsible for defining what is allowed on Linktree and how those rules are interpreted and applied in practice. You will lead policy authoring, manage complex edge cases, and establish enforcement guidance that drive consistency and fairness across the platform. You’ll work closely with Trust & Safety Operations, Legal, Product, and Communications to ensure policies are effectively implemented, well understood internally, and transparently communicated externally. You will also play a key role in evolving our policies in response to emerging risks, enforcement insights, and industry developments.
Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of Linktree’s content and behavior policies, including authoring, maintenance, and iteration
- Develop and maintain Community Standards, Trust Center content, and other external-facing policy documentation
- Define policy frameworks, enforcement philosophy, and escalation principles
- Ensure policies are clear, actionable, and aligned with regulatory and platform requirements
- Lead policy interpretation, including complex edge cases and high-risk or ambiguous scenarios
- Establish and maintain consistent enforcement philosophy, including penalty logic and escalation frameworks
- Partner with Trust & Safety Operations to translate policy into enforcement guidance and workflows
- Support internal decision-making on sensitive or high-impact policy cases
- Cross-functional Partnership:
- Collaborate with Legal on regulatory and compliance requirements as they relate to content policies
- Work with Trust Product and Engineering to ensure policies are accurately reflected in platform systems
- Work with Communications on external messaging related to policy updates and trust initiatives
Qualifications
- 6–8+ years of experience in Trust & Safety Policy, Content Policy, or a related field
- Deep expertise in platform policy development, enforcement models, and online safety frameworks
- Strong judgment and experience handling complex, sensitive, or high-risk policy decisions
- Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to create clear, precise, and defensible policy language
- Experience working cross-functionally with Legal, Operations, Product, and Communications
- Strong understanding of global regulatory trends and digital platform governance
- Able to balance user safety, platform integrity, and business considerations
What We Offer
Linktree is committed to providing a fair and competitive compensation package including cash, equity, and benefits. The base salary offered for this role is targeted at $165,000-$200,000 for roles based in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Final offers depend on multiple factors including location, experience, expertise, and role scope, and may vary from the range listed.
