The Transportation Engineering Lead position at Fehr Graham is a pivotal figure within the organization, responsible for leading the strategic direction of the transportation engineering team. Responsibilities
Collaborate with the executive team to outline and execute the firm's transportation plan, ensuring alignment with organizational values and mission.
Develop comprehensive strategies for advancing transportation projects and services.
Establish and foster strong relationships with local agencies, both existing clients and potential target clients, to understand their transportation project needs and secure new opportunities.
Serve as a liaison between clients, our organization, and regulatory bodies like the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) to advance simple and complex transportation projects.
Oversee the execution of transportation projects, ensuring they meet client expectations, industry standards, and internal quality benchmarks.
Recruit, mentor, and develop the transportation design team.
Monitor project budgets, resources, and financial performance to ensure the successful and profitable completion of transportation projects.
Facilitate clear and effective communication between clients, project teams, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.
Establish a personal working relationship with key decision makers and influencers based on Fehr Graham core values.
Stay updated on transportation engineering technology trends and advancements.
Attend meetings, community, and industry events.
Communicate industry trends back to the team and engage in knowledge sharing.
Maintain client confidentiality of all project work.

Requirements

Qualifications
