Position Responsibilities

• Design runways, taxiways, aprons and other airfield projects using FAA Advisory Circulars
• Design landside facilities such as roads, parking, and utilities
• Supervise designers and CADD technicians
• Perform and/or lead civil design using knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Works with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project under the direction of the Aviation Service Director
• Manage construction projects as the owner’s representative
• Acquire permits from local municipalities and statewide agencies

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum of 4 years of aviation design experience with detailed knowledge of FAA standards is preferred
• Senior positions are available for candidates with 10+ years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in design programs is preferred (AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, Microsoft Excel, etc.)
• Ability to efficiently complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision with a focus on client service
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Willingness and ability to learn new job skills
