Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical and pavement-focused field investigations, engineering analysis and design, calculations, and recommendations.
- Prepare and review related reports, track and evaluate project progress and budgets, and resolve design and construction issues.
- Communicate complex engineering concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Lead client development efforts, building and maintaining strong relationships within the transportation sector to support business growth and project success.
- Coordinate with project accountants for financial management, invoicing, and collections.
- Serve as an Authorized Project Reviewer as required.
Requirements
- Conceptualize initial design and investigative approaches for major transportation projects or segments.
- Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate engineering work, including complex features and conflicting design requirements.
- Provide technical review of reports and supervise innovative investigation techniques.
- Lead technical training and make informed decisions based on state-of-the-art technology.
- Mentor and coach project team members to execute projects successfully.
- Supervise less experienced engineers or technical support personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 8-11 years’ experience in engineering, with significant transportation sector experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
- Transportation experience with DOTs required.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Project management and technical leadership for large-scale transportation projects.
- Strong client development and business development experience in the transportation sector.
- Experience mentoring and coaching project teams.
- Familiarity with financial management of projects.
Pay
Maximum Salary: $193,800.00
Minimum Salary: $125,400.00
