About the role
We are currently seeking a Senior Training Specialist located in the Washington, D.C. area.
Responsibilities
- Congduct and supervise training and development programs for employees and external customers to help employees develop new skills and enhance productivity while improving the quality of work.
- Plan and develop programs for training by assessing and identifying training needs created by problems within the organization.
- Set up teaching materials and lesson plans prior to classes and issue completion certificates at the end of the class.
- Consult with onsite supervisors regarding available performance improvement services.
- Plan internal and external engagements, including meetings, conferences, and events.
- Assist in the development of briefing material and drafting documents in accordance with Navy Correspondence Manual guidelines.
- Cookordinate, monitor, and execute data calls to gather inputs from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Consolidate and communicate information from data calls to government leadership for further action.
- Evaluate operational deficiencies, recommend improvements, and coordinate their implementation.
- Transcribe and summarize meeting minutes and notes and assist in the preparation and closure of action items.
- Assist in the scheduling of appointments in support of Government customer, the coordination of arrangements for meetings and conferences, and the arrangement of travel reservations and accommodations.
- Attend meetings and program reviews, assist with compiling presentations, written materials, and/or electronic communications as required.
- Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and/or MBC’s clients.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience providing training and development support to U.S. Navy program offices.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Eligibility to obtain a DOD SECRET security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in any field from an institution accredited in the United States.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clients.
