Senior Training and Education Specialist
Our client develops innovative medical technologies focused on the treatment of atrial fibrillation (Afib) and related conditions. Its FDA-approved devices and therapies are used globally by electrophysiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons to treat Afib and reduce related complications. The portfolio includes ablation systems, left atrial appendage exclusion devices, minimally invasive therapies, and nerve ablation probes for pain relief in cardiac and thoracic procedures.
About the Role
The Senior Training and Education Specialist leads the design, development, administration, and optimization of learning programs and technologies for professional education. This role creates effective learning experiences for employees and physicians, manages learning management system (LMS) content and functionality, supports reporting and approvals, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to align training with business and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop multi-modal learning solutions, including eLearning, webinars, assessments, job aids, print, and multimedia content.
- Apply instructional design and adult learning principles to create measurable learning experiences.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize the LMS, including course management, certifications, enrollments, user access, and reporting.
- Upload, test, update, and maintain training content within designated platforms.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to define learning objectives and align training programs.
- Ensure training materials are accurate, current, approved, and aligned with product and procedural updates.
- Manage content delivery, compliance approvals, expirations, and publication through approved systems.
- Analyze LMS data, reports, learner performance, and feedback to recommend improvements.
- Serve as the primary contact for LMS inquiries, troubleshooting, guidance, and user training.
- Support LMS updates, enhancements, vendor coordination, and adoption of best practices.
- Assist with project intake and vendor-supported content development while providing guidance on learning strategies.
- Travel up to 20% as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, educational technology, information systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in instructional design, adult learning, learning technology, or similar roles.
- At least 2 years of LMS administration experience, including reporting, enrollments, course management, certifications, and access controls.
- Experience with LMS platforms such as Cornerstone, SuccessFactors, Workday Learning, or similar systems.
- Proven ability to develop learning solutions across multiple modalities.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and content development tools such as Adobe Captivate or InDesign.
- Strong organizational, communication, customer service, problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects, influence stakeholders, mentor team members, and support continuous improvement.
Pay
US pay range: $73,685–$108,071 USD.
