Bring your carpentry leadership and project management experience to work that makes a visible difference throughout Montgomery Parks. The Senior Trades Shop Supervisor – Carpentry, based in Gaithersburg, Maryland, leads the team responsible for carpentry construction, renovation, repair, and maintenance projects across Montgomery Parks. This position manages daily shop operations, supervises and develops skilled trades staff, coordinates contractors and project resources, and ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and to established quality standards. The Senior Trades Shop Supervisor also provides technical leadership on complex projects, manages budgets and operational resources, and works with internal partners, contractors, and other trades professionals to maintain safe, functional, and welcoming park facilities.
About The Facilities Management Division: The Facilities Management Division is a team of more than 107 professionals responsible for maintaining Montgomery Parks' facilities, infrastructure, fleet, and major building systems. The division supports both day-to-day operations and long-term capital improvement projects, helping ensure park facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for employees and visitors throughout the park system. Within the division, the Carpentry Shop is a collaborative team focused on facility renovations, structural repairs, and preventative maintenance. Team members work on a variety of projects, including improvements to park buildings, shelters, and other essential infrastructure across Montgomery Parks, contributing directly to the quality and longevity of public facilities.
