Senior Tooling Technician

About the role

Ashtead Technology is seeking an experienced Senior Tooling Technician to join their team in Houston. The role involves inspecting, testing, repairing, and preparing ROV tooling and rental equipment to ensure it's fully operational and ready for deployment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, repair, and prepare ROV tooling and rental equipment to ensure it’s fully operational and ready for deployment.
• Support the commissioning, development, and manufacture of new and innovative ROV tooling solutions.
• Manage work orders within Ashtead’s ERP system.
• Ensure all rental equipment is clearly labelled, correctly identified, complete with spares, and packaged to meet transport and mobilization requirements.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, including manuals, checklists, spare kits, and testing procedures.
• Provide hands-on technical support to customers, including fault reporting for missing or damaged equipment.
• Assist with mobilizations, site interface testing, and offshore support when required.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in a technician role undertaking repair, maintenance, integration, and testing of ROV Tooling equipment, preferably in a subsea environment.
• Extensive knowledge of ROV Tooling, Torque Tools, Valve Packs, Cutters, LAOT’S, IHPU’s.
• A qualification in Mechanical Engineering / other technical discipline and/or equivalent industry experience.
• Solid understanding of hydraulics/electrics, ability to read schematics including fault finding.
• Ability to read and implement engineering drawings.
