About The Role
As a Senior Test Automation Engineer with Playwright and Mobile experience, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable test automation solutions that improve product quality, accelerate delivery cycles, and support enterprise-grade applications. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high-quality software releases.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web, mobile, API, and end-to-end testing using Playwright and other modern automation tools.
- Execute and enhance mobile testing strategies for iOS and Android applications, including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end validation.
- Develop and maintain API automation suites using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent frameworks.
- Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and DevOps best practices to enable continuous quality.
- Collaborate with Agile teams to drive quality engineering initiatives, improve test coverage, conduct defect triage, and support release validation activities.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation with strong knowledge of test planning, test design, defect management, risk assessment, requirements analysis, and end-to-end validation.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright and automation testing experience.
- Experience with mobile application testing on iOS and Android platforms, including hands-on exposure to mobile automation frameworks such as Appium.
- Strong API testing and automation experience using Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent tools and frameworks.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries, validate data integrity, and perform backend testing.
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams using BDD, Cucumber, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and CI/CD practices.
- Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks and enterprise-level automation solutions.
- Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, UI, API, mobile, and end-to-end testing methodologies.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript for automation development.
- Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a distributed onsite-offshore delivery environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Experience with Maestro Automation Framework or similar lightweight mobile automation tools.
- Experience designing scalable mobile automation frameworks from the ground up.
- Insurance domain experience.
- Experience with quality governance, test reporting, quality metrics, release management, and defect triage processes.
- Demonstrated expertise in DevOps-driven quality engineering practices and continuous testing strategies.

Benefits
- Annual salary between $53,477 to $92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
- Eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

Pay
The annual salary for this position is between $53,477 to 92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
