About the role

SEI is seeking a Senior Technology Manager to support the SEI Data Office teams. The Technology Manager has personal responsibility for the coaching and career development of direct reports, takes responsibility for eliminating career impediments, and actively evolves the systems in which all knowledge workers operate.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in platform resource management process to establish the best assignment of individuals to teams
  • Ensure employees receive annual evaluations, one-on-one meetings and overall training and development needs are met
  • Lead the interview team and efforts and initiate hiring decisions for all positions
  • Provide leadership and guidance for the employees on the team. Act as a mentor and trainer as needed
  • Help establish mission and purpose for the teams under supervision
  • Build functional and technical competencies that enhance the development capabilities of the team and that align to the objectives of the team
  • Continuously assist in aligning teams to the business and program mission
  • Coach the improvement of agile technical practices, including agile architecture, continuous integration, test-first, refactoring, pair work, and collective ownership
  • Provide active coaching to advance technical, functional, and team skills
  • Oversee the work of subcontractors and consultants operating within the domain of influence
  • Work with Product Management, Product Owners, and technical Business Owners to help assure strategy and execution alignment
  • Assist RTE with release planning readiness, release planning activities, and removal of impediments as needed
  • Ensure production stability, functional, and technical delivery from your respective teams
  • Remove impediments, collaborate, and coordinate with other teams on Train or Platform

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum of 10 years IT project management experience
  • Experience as a software development practitioner with prior hands-on experience in one or more technical disciplines
  • Excellent knowledge of microservice architecture, loaders, APIs, Snowflake, Power Platform, and Cloud Infrastructure
  • Must have experience in managing Wealth Management and other financial domain projects
  • Strong understanding of SAFe and agile principles
  • Desire to work collaboratively with all Agile teams and their stakeholders
  • Possess a high level of technical savvy
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure timely delivery of Sprints/PSIs
  • Proven decision-making and problem-solving skills
