Senior Technologist Laboratory - Cytogenetics - Day Shift

Core Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of conventional cytogenetic and FISH wet lab procedures, including specimen processing, cell culture, harvesting, slide preparation.
• Perform karyotyping analysis on hematological specimens.
• Assist with laboratory maintenance, reagent preparation, inventory management, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Communicate results effectively to supervisors, pathologists, or clinical laboratory directors as required.

Required Criteria

• A minimum of 2 years of experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent experience).
• A New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License.

Preferred Criteria

• 6+ years of experience.
• ASCP certification.
• Experience with microarray analysis.

Qualifications

This is a full-time day shift position, working Monday – Friday 10:00am-6:00pm with flexibility to cover occasional Saturdays as needed, located at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Pay

$55.80-$66.65/Hourly

Schedule

Full-time day shift, Monday – Friday 10:00am-6:00pm with flexibility to cover occasional Saturdays as needed.
