Senior Technician, General Facilities Maintenance
Position Summary
The General Maintenance Technician performs preventive maintenance, major and minor repairs, and technical oversight to ensure facilities, equipment, and fixtures are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role utilizes multi-trade skills, supports junior technicians, manages work orders and contractors, and ensures compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards while delivering value-driven results.
What you'll do
- Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment)
- Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality
- Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules by completing and providing required written and electronic information (for example, expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years' experience in maintenance
- Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
- 1 year's experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade
- 7 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade
- Valid Driver's License
- Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- 1 year’s experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 - $40.00*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
