About the role
The Senior Technician, General Facilities Maintenance, is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facility equipment and fixtures. This role involves diagnosing issues, overseeing junior associates, managing work orders, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
What you'll do
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities equipment and fixtures.
- Inspect, clean, and repair equipment, documenting wear and recommending repairs or replacements.
- Conduct major and minor repairs using multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Oversee junior associates, provide onsite training, and ensure work meets quality, safety, and code standards.
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and expenses.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA and EPA regulations while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll bring
- Proven experience in performing preventive maintenance and equipment repair to ensure facility safety and functionality.
- Strong knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to diagnose and repair facilities equipment using blueprints, repair manuals, and appropriate tools.
- Skilled in managing maintenance schedules, work orders, parts inventory, and contractor oversight.
- Demonstrated capability to lead and train junior associates while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to build partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to company policies and ethical standards.
Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 - $40.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
