Senior Technical Writer

Key Responsibilities

• Review and edit technical reports for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
• Develop executive summaries, findings reports, briefing materials, and communication products.
• Translate complex technical information into content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Cook up document reviews and publication workflows.
• Ensure all written deliverables comply with Section 508 accessibility requirements.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, project teams, and Government stakeholders to produce high-quality documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Technical Writing, Engineering, Science, Architecture, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in technical writing, editing, or technical communications.
• Demonstrated experience translating complex technical information into executive-level reports, publications, and communication materials.
• Experience reviewing technical reports, synthesizing technical data, and coordinating publication workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical subject matter experts and Government stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting federal government agencies.
• Experience developing executive briefings, technical reports, and publication-ready documents.
• Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards.
• Experience working with engineering, scientific, or building technology programs.
