About the role
This is a contract position with possible extension for a Technical Solution Architect focused on designing modern ecosystem leveraging cloud platforms, APIs, data architecture, and AI-enabled practices.
Responsibilities
- Challenge legacy thinking and influence decisions
- Bring modern architecture practices into a highly visible transformation effort
- Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
- Work in Agile, iterative, product-driven environments
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and collaborate across functions
- Review vendor solutions, architecture, and implementation quality
- Design systems for multiple user groups
- Design cloud architecture
- Design data architecture and migration
- Design systems for integration and vendor evaluation
- Design AI/automation and modern development practices
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in IT delivery, software engineering, or enterprise architecture
- 5+ years in a Technical Solutions Architect / Enterprise Architect / Tech lead role
- Strong experience with cloud-based enterprise applications (AWS/Azure)
- Experience designing APIs, integrations, and modern system architecture
- Experience translating business needs into scalable technical solutions
- Experience working in Agile, iterative, product-driven environments
- Strong stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience reviewing vendor solutions, architecture, and implementation quality
Qualifications
- Experience with public sector or workflow heavy enterprise platforms (ERP, procurement, financial systems)
- Knowledge of modernizing legacy systems to cloud or modular architecture
- Background in data migration, governance, mapping, and analytics
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (NIST, FedRamp)
- Hands-on with AI/ML development tools
- Experience designing systems for multiple user groups
- Experience with test strategy, automation, and phased rollout approaches
