The Senior Principal Technical Solution Architect will lead the design and execution of advanced software architectures for next-generation humanoid robotics applications. This role sits at the intersection of robotics, artificial intelligence, embedded systems, cloud platforms, and physical hardware.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience architecting complex cyber-physical systems and leading engineering initiatives within robotics, AI, automation, or other advanced technology environments.
  • Deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to translate emerging technologies into practical solutions.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience working in robotics, autonomous systems, industrial automation, physical AI, or complex cyber-physical environments.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering software architectures for intelligent systems operating under real-world constraints.
  • Advanced programming expertise in C++ (17/20) and Python, with experience designing robust software systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux environments (Ubuntu/Debian), containerized deployments, and embedded computing platforms.
  • Experience designing systems that address compute limitations, thermal management, battery optimization, network reliability, and safety requirements.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing or mentoring engineering teams in startup, R&D, robotics, or fast-paced product development environments.
  • Experience integrating AI technologies such as large language models, vision-language models, agentic workflows, multimodal reasoning systems, or edge AI inference platforms.
  • Strong understanding of real-time systems, embedded platforms, and software-hardware integration principles.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly across engineering, product, and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with real-time Linux environments such as PREEMPT_RT and deterministic kernel systems.
  • Familiarity with microcontroller platforms and RTOS environments such as Zephyr RTOS or FreeRTOS.
  • Experience with robotics simulation and development platforms such as NVIDIA Isaac SDK, Isaac Sim, Omniverse, Gazebo, Webots, or Intel RealSense.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance standards including ISO 13849, IEC 61508, IEC 62443, and human-robot interaction safety requirements.
  • Relevant experience building developer SDKs or scalable robotics platforms.
