Senior Technical Services Representative

About the Role

Coastal Chemical Company, a leading provider of chemicals to the oil, gas, refinery, and petrochemical industries, is seeking a Technical Service Engineer to join their team. This role is part of Coastal Chemical’s "Value Added" Program, focusing on delivering superior customer service and product quality. The position involves daily interaction with clients and the sales team through phone, email, or personal site visits, with 50+ % travel expected to cover the West Texas sales territory. The candidate must reside in West Texas and work from a home-based office when not traveling.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surveys and field support during assigned project requests.
• Provide analytical support and process recommendations for products used in the production group, aiming to increase sales on existing and new client accounts.
• Conduct informational training seminars for clients on chemical products, addressing technical or operational issues arising from field challenges.
• Develop recommendations and optimization options for customers and the sales team.
• Research and develop new products to prevent or minimize future client technical and operational issues.
• Serve as a technical resource to educate and train the sales team on all chemical products sold.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.
• Strong technical background and support experience.
• Organizational skills to multi-task and manage multiple requests and customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with various business levels from shift operators to upper management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft "Office 365" program applications.
