Senior Technical Recruiter (Defense/USAF)

About the role
Credence has an immediate need for an experienced Senior Technical Recruiter specializing in the US Air Force and Defense federal sectors. This position will be responsible for full life cycle recruiting—sourcing and screening active and passive talent, determining qualifications against open requisitions, submitting candidates to hiring managers for review, and supporting the overall administrative hiring processes. The role will onboard in winter 2026 and is hybrid in Dayton, OH.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the Credence Hiring team to identify immediate and future staffing needs, job duties, and requirements.
- Develop targeted recruitment strategies using a variety of resources to identify and build candidate pipelines.
- Post job advertisements, utilize social media to network opportunities, attend job fairs, and maintain applicant tracking system documentation.
- Review and screen online job applications, source resumes from databases, identify qualified candidates, initiate contact, conduct interviews, and submit suitable matches to hiring managers.
- Provide strategic support to business development and capture efforts by identifying candidates and companies for specific programs or customers.
- Support proposal efforts by engaging with targeted candidates to determine qualifications, obtain documentation, and provide pricing realism for execution post-award.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- At least five (5) years of demonstrated experience recruiting for IT-focused positions, including but not limited to:
- UI/UX Developers
- AI/ML and Data Scientists/Engineers
- DevSecOps Developers
- ServiceNow Developers
- Front End Java Developers
- Cloud Network Engineers
- Solution Data Architects
- Sr. Software Engineers
- Cybersecurity Engineers
- Demonstrated experience recruiting for security clearance positions within the DoD, Intel, and Civilian Federal contracting environments.
- Experience with MS Office Suite and Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Knowledge of DoD security clearance requirements.
- Proven candidate sourcing and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- General knowledge of employment laws and best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and foster teamwork.
- Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
- May be required to occasionally lift 10-20 pounds.
