About the role
This role supports fast-moving organizational growth in an extremely competitive talent market. The Senior Technical Recruiter will play a critical role in securing top talent, often navigating relocation of talent and meeting tight timelines.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end recruitment for a broad and evolving mix of roles supporting IREN's Cloud Services offering — spanning cloud infrastructure, platform, solutions, and technical go-to-market functions as the team's needs take shape.
- Partner directly with Cloud Services leadership to understand emerging workforce needs and translate ambiguous, fast-changing hiring plans into concrete pipelines.
- Source, screen, and close technical talent with cloud computing and infrastructure backgrounds in a highly competitive market.
- Build and maintain talent pools for roles that don't yet have established sourcing playbooks, helping define what “great” looks like as the function matures.
- Provide market insight on compensation, availability, and competitive positioning to help leaders make informed hiring decisions.
- Drive offer strategy and negotiation for senior and specialized technical hires.
- Maintain clean, compliant ATS workflows and deliver clear reporting on pipeline health and hiring progress.
- Represent IREN's employer brand within cloud computing and technical talent communities.
- Contribute to building scalable recruiting processes and infrastructure as the Cloud Services team grows from the ground up.
Requirements
- 12+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, including significant experience hiring for cloud computing, infrastructure, or platform engineering roles.
- Demonstrated success recruiting for cloud/infrastructure providers or hyperscale environments — you understand the talent market for roles like cloud engineers, solutions architects, SREs, network engineers, and related infrastructure functions.
- Proven ability to operate autonomously as a senior individual contributor, owning requisitions end-to-end with minimal oversight.
- Strong stakeholder management skills — confident advising hiring managers and senior leaders on market conditions, sourcing strategy, and offer decisions.
- Experience building and running structured, repeatable recruitment processes across a variety of role types simultaneously.
- Skilled in developing sourcing strategies for niche, hard-to-fill, or emerging roles where the talent pool and job architecture are still being defined.
- Trusted handler of confidential and sensitive information, maintaining integrity and discretion in all People & Culture matters.
- Proficient in ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, and reporting tools; comfortable analyzing data and presenting hiring insights to leadership.
- Able to manage a high volume of concurrent requisitions across multiple functions, prioritizing based on business impact and urgency.
- Excellent communicator, comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-moving, newly formed business unit.
