About the role

The role involves developing innovative software solutions for geospatial data analysis and visualization. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing algorithms for efficient data processing and analysis
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate geospatial data into applications
  • Creating interactive visualizations for user-friendly interfaces
  • Maintaining and updating existing software systems

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and optimizing geospatial algorithms for performance and scalability
  • Collaborating with project managers and developers to ensure timely delivery of projects
  • Testing and debugging software to ensure high-quality outputs
  • Documenting code and procedures for future reference and maintenance

Requirements

Essential qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), or a related field
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in software development and geospatial technologies
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and SQL
  • Experience with GIS software such as QGIS, ArcGIS, or similar tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms like AWS or Azure
  • Knowledge of geospatial data formats such as GeoJSON, KML, and Shapefiles
  • Experience with data visualization libraries such as D3.js or Leaflet.js
