Responsibilities
- Drive technical projects from ideation to delivery, including managing complex project schedules, removing roadblocks, and keeping processes running smoothly.
- Create and operationalize processes to transform the effectiveness of the organization with respect to meeting business goals.
- Identify and operationalize the metrics and key performance indicators necessary to track progress, and drive issue resolution & mitigation at a granular level across the organization.
- Facilitate productive meetings from small (3-5 people) to large (100 people or more).
- Work with teams to identify and handle our top risks and drive decisions to align leadership on the right level of risk for each project.
- Drive effective communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple stakeholders and disparate groups with competing priorities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience working on a software development team as a TPgM or engineering manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years in project and program management.
- 6+ years delivering products against plan in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined, distributed-responsibility and often ambiguous environment.
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of authentication protocols, API security, and cloud architecture.
- Can anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
- Drive programs with a significant amount of ambiguity and facilitate definition and clarity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience communicating with senior leadership.
- A good understanding of the New Relic platform and its capabilities.
- Prior experience with high-growth companies.
