In this position, you will lead the execution of development programs involving backend, platform, and mobile systems while also building the tools and reporting infrastructure necessary to improve visibility and transparency across projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of backend, platform, and mobile-related projects
- Drive requirements definition, ownership alignment, dependency management, and release readiness activities
- Partner with engineering teams to support system boundary definition and API planning
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration among Product, Design, Engineering, QA, and regional teams
- Identify project risks, issues, and bottlenecks early and drive mitigation plans
- Design and develop dashboards and reporting systems utilizing Jira APIs, logs, and operational metrics
- Build tools and scripts to automate reporting and improve execution visibility
- Define KPIs and metrics related to delivery quality and release readiness
- Improve PMO tooling, reporting accuracy, and decision-support capabilities
- Ensure alignment between mobile applications and backend systems
- Support production readiness initiatives, including reliability, scalability, and compliance requirements
- Prepare and deliver program status updates and risk reports for leadership stakeholders
Requirements
- Business-level proficiency in English and Japanese
- 5+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Engineering Program Management, or a related field
- Strong technical understanding of backend systems, APIs, and distributed architectures
- Experience working with both frontend/mobile and backend environments
- Proven experience leading cross-functional projects involving Product, Engineering, QA, and Design teams
- Experience using programming or scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript
- Experience analyzing data through APIs, logs, metrics, and related sources
- Experience building dashboards, automated reporting systems, and operational tools
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to transform raw data into actionable insights
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Software Engineer, System Architect, or Technical Lead
- Experience building automation tools for PMO or engineering organizations
- Experience using data visualization and dashboarding tools
- Knowledge of service-oriented architectures and platform systems
- Experience in the automotive, IoT, or connected-device industries

USD 140,000-182,000
