AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. About the role

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost. Responsibilities

  • Engage with internal and external Amazon customers and support teams to gain insights and capture critical mechanical, electrical, and utility needs for the business today and in the future.
  • Utilize those insights to identify specific program requirements, create a program vision, and own the product development roadmap for critical segments of the data center physical infrastructure.
  • Coordinate between multiple teams to develop compelling business cases to substantiate business value, define product prioritization, and outline budget and resources required to implement product roadmaps.
  • Drive continuous advancements and improvements within our data center designs, and communicate technical solutions to Senior Management.
  • Own and drive the complete product lifecycle from idea conception through implementation and wide-scale deployment to eventual deprecation.
  • Develop product features and deployment strategies to improve performance, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency of new applications and use cases.
  • Communicate complex issues clearly and effectively to leadership to propose solutions and fully inform risk decisions.
  • Work independently in a high-performing environment with all levels of leadership and exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is:

  • USA, TX, Austin: $148,700.00 - $201,200.00 USD annually
  • USA, VA, Herndon: $148,700.00 - $201,200.00 USD annually
  • USA, WA, Seattle: $148,700.00 - $201,200.00 USD annually

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
