About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to help manage, plan, and deliver on exciting projects. You will oversee cross-functional teams, create and manage project schedules, budgets, risks/opportunities, and ensure alignment with technical and strategic goals. Ongoing efforts span from component-level upgrades to component design and integration with NextGen into Capella's current and next-generation spacecraft design. This role will directly contribute to large-scale, high-impact efforts within the company.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology projects through the full program lifecycle, including planning, execution, project closure, stakeholder management, and issue/dependency management.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive project portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology projects, and track schedules and status across multiple development projects.
• Prioritize projects and programs based on strategic importance, resource availability, and business impact.
• Manage complex budgets, including labor forecasts, actuals, material, and subcontractors.
• Mentor and knowledge-share with project resources to ensure accountability for project deliverables.
• Demonstrate strong, clear, and concise documentation and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences at all organizational levels.
• Translate technical requirements into work delivery plans.
• Apply problem-solving and data-driven decision-making to proactively identify critical-path actions, risks, and opportunities to accelerate progress.
• Utilize varying project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Scrum).
• Operate as a self-starter in a fast-paced, nimble environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, science, or a related technical field. Business degree acceptable with aerospace experience.
• Proficiency in project management software tools and collaboration platforms such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence.
• Proven ability to manage technical development and/or R&D scope.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Pay

$126,887—$181,949 USD base salary. Compensation will vary based on individual factors such as education, qualifications, experience, specific office location, and calibration against relevant market data and internal team equity. The total compensation package includes base salary, bonus, equity, and benefits.
