Senior Technical Program Manager

About the role
The Senior Technical Program Manager leads strategic programs from inception through to sustainment. This role ensures successful program delivery by managing scope, risks, and stakeholder alignment, directly contributing to the organization’s ability to implement transformational initiatives and achieve strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead program definition, planning, scope, and execution
- Monitor program health, anticipate risks, and apply mitigation strategies
- Develop integrated program plans with detailed work breakdown structures
- Identify dependencies and manage transformational opportunities across programs
- Communicate status updates to executive sponsors and governance boards
- Navigate ambiguity to establish clear execution paths for teams
- Apply best practices to improve PMO processes continuously
Requirements
- Eight years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience as a Project or Program Manager within an IT organization
- Technical background sufficient to evaluate risks and issues effectively
- Experience with infrastructure upgrade and installation projects
- Experience managing external implementation providers
- Strong leadership, coaching, presentation, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders and communicate across senior leadership and technical teams
Pay
For US-based candidates, base salary ranges from $119,600 to $215,400 per year. Salary is determined by experience, skills, certifications, and location. Compensation may include annual bonuses, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
