About the role
The Senior Technical Product Manager will bridge the gap between customer needs, product strategy, and technical execution within a fast-moving financial technology environment. They will transform complex customer challenges into clear requirements, scalable solutions, and impactful product improvements.
Responsibilities
- Understand customer challenges and define technical solutions
- Guide product initiatives from discovery through delivery
- Engage directly with customers and internal stakeholders
- Create detailed technical requirements, data models, API behaviors, integration patterns, and actionable specifications for engineering teams
- Identify and solve complex problems beyond surface-level requests
- Lead structured discovery processes for technical and integration challenges
- Build internal tools and workflow improvements using AI-assisted development, no-code platforms, automation tools, or lightweight scripting
- Maintain product documentation and internal sources of truth
- Monitor product performance and health
- Partner closely with engineering teams
- Influence product priorities with strong points of view supported by research, evidence, and customer insights
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience with ownership of product outcomes and strategic decisions
- 2+ years of product management experience in fintech, with experience in debt, payments, credit, lending, or financial infrastructure
- Ability to read API specifications, understand data models, and translate technical concepts into clear product requirements
- Experience creating technical documentation and specifications that enable engineering teams to execute effectively
- Experience building internal tools, automated workflows, scripts, or lightweight solutions using AI assistance, no-code platforms, or coding skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working independently in ambiguous environments and making informed decisions with incomplete information
- Experience with consumer financial data, credit systems, lending infrastructure, or related platforms
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as FCRA, SOC 2, or PCI within a product context
- Knowledge of SQL, basic scripting, workflow automation tools such as Zapier or Make, or similar technologies
