This Opportunity At WSP, we are driving the future of industrial facility design through innovation, technical excellence, and integrated delivery. We are seeking a Senior Technical Director, Electrical Engineer to join our Industrial Center of Excellence (CoE)—setting the technical vision and driving growth across key industrial markets including manufacturing, food & beverage, advanced facilities, and energy transition.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the national strategy and vision for Electrical Engineering across the Industrial CoE

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, influencing business investment, innovation, and growth priorities

  • Drive market expansion and revenue growth across industrial sectors (Manufacturing, Advanced Facilities, Energy, etc.)

  • Establish WSP as a recognized industry leader in industrial electrical systems and infrastructure

  • Build and maintain executive-level client relationships, including Fortune 500 and global industrial clients

  • Champion innovation, digital delivery, and advanced technologies (smart manufacturing, electrification, decarbonization)

  • Ensure consistent delivery of complex, large-scale industrial projects with technical excellence and quality

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire regional and national leadership teams across electrical engineering

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

  • 15+ years of experience in industrial electrical engineering and leadership roles

  • Proven experience in executive leadership, business growth, and large-scale operations

  • Strong track record managing P&L, strategic growth, and complex project portfolios

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required

  • Deep expertise in industrial power systems, manufacturing facilities, and mission-critical environments

  • Recognized as an industry leader with strong external presence and influence
