Senior Team Lead - Bridge Inspection

Collins is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Team Lead to play a key role on our team in Canton, Massachusetts office. The ideal candidate will have experience in structural inspections and technical management who can bring creative problem-solving skills balanced with a strong background in the field. This position requires the ability to manage inspection tasks, liaise with clients and government agencies, and direct teams. Responsibilities

• Supervises above water and underwater bridge and ancillary inspection and evaluations.
• Reviews, analyzes and resolves field issues.
• Responsible for engineering projects of varying size and complexity in field or office in accordance with plans and specifications.
• Performs complex difficult inspection, access, coordination, and estimates in inspection projects.
• Produce and review detailed inspection reports, ensuring timely submission for FHWA compliance.
• Manages and provides leadership on inspection projects, including: proposal preparation, project budgets, project schedules and timely completion, project quality, and project profitability.
• Mentors field staff on the purpose and processes of inspections and inspection techniques.
• Make independent decisions within a general framework.
• Is active in technical societies.
• Is available to attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours.
• Actively observes and acts in an appropriate manner related to safety.
• Ensures that staff needing specialized training in health and safety procedures and practices receive such training and that safety is discussed as an important aspect of their work.
