Senior Tax Manager - Trust & Estate

A well established and growing accounting and consulting firm with a strong reputation in the Chicago area is hiring an experienced Tax Manager to join their team. Responsibilities

• Oversee complex tax engagements from planning through completion, including budgeting and reviewing work for accuracy
• Review tax returns with a focus on high net worth individuals and pass through entities
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff, providing hands on guidance and constructive feedback
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor
• Identify tax planning opportunities and stay current on regulatory changes
• Research technical tax questions and support the team with complex issues
• Spot cross selling opportunities and contribute to business development efforts
• Manage multiple engagements at once while keeping projects on track and on budget

Requirements

• Active CPA license required
• Experience managing tax engagements involving Trust and Estate work
• Exposure to manufacturing, construction, or nonprofit clients is a plus
• Proficiency with CCH and QuickBooks Online
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing staff
• Reliable transportation for occasional travel to client sites

Qualifications

$150,000 - $170,000 /yr
