Responsibilities

  • Tax Compliance & Preparation: Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for partnerships, S-corporations, individuals, and trusts. Ensure all returns comply with current tax laws and regulations. Resolve IRS and state agency audits, inquiries, and tax notices. Conduct technical tax research and draft memoranda on complex tax issues. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and evaluate its impact on our clients.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Develop, motivate, and train junior staff and managers. Delegate projects and manage workflow to maximize efficiency and quality. Foster a collaborative team culture. Train staff on new processes, software, and regulatory changes.
  • Client Service & Advisory: Build and maintain strong client relationships, being a trusted advisor. Provide strategic tax planning and consulting services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (Master's in Taxation preferred)
  • CPA designation strongly preferred (alternative Enrolled Agent designation)
  • 8 or more years of experience in public accounting, with demonstrated expertise in partnerships, S-corporations, individual and trust tax compliance.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. tax regulations and compliance.
  • Strong sense of urgency, adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness.
  • Proficiency in CCH TaxAbility.
  • To work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and client service orientation.

Qualifications

Pay

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
