Senior Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Senior Manager to join our growing team. This leadership role is ideal for a tax professional who excels in client service, technical expertise, and team development. You will oversee complex tax engagements, mentor staff, and play a key role in shaping client strategy and firm growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive tax planning and advisory services
• Research and resolve advanced tax issues and ensure compliance with current regulations
• Lead, mentor, and develop tax staff and managers
• Oversee engagement planning, budgeting, and billing
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and firm growth
• Stay current on tax law changes and industry trends

Qualifications

• CPA license required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's in Taxation preferred)
• 8+ years of public accounting tax experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
• Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Experience with tax software and workflow systems
