About the role
The Senior Tax Analyst position at Wolfspeed supports Federal and State compliance and tax accounting under ASC 740. Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare federal and state quarterly and annual tax provision in accordance with ASC 740 using ONESOURCE Tax Provision, including FIN 48 and valuation allowance analyses
- Provide assistance to outside service provider preparing the U.S. federal and state tax returns including internal analysis and review of Sch. M calculations, fixed assets, federal and state tax credits, state apportionment, and all required disclosures
- Perform monthly reconciliations of tax accounts
- Affiliate in state and IRS tax examinations, including responsibility for drafting communications, preparation of responses to information document requests and related inquiries
- Support tax technical research and strategic planning in association with tax reform implementation and, as needed, merger & acquisition activities
- Coordinate with other Tax Managers and Director on various technical research and strategic planning related to tax planning and/or merger & acquisition activities
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with SOX 404 controls and testing
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years in Public Accounting or Industry with a background in Corporate income tax including ASC 740 experience and FIN 48 knowledge
- CPA certification or active progress towards certification
- Direct experience with U.S. federal and state compliance
- Experience using ONESOURCE Tax Provision or other similar software
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
