Senior Tax Accountant - Provision and Compliance

This role is part of our growing tax function, and you will report to the US Tax Manager, assisting with the tax provision, compliance, and other tax matters. Responsibilities

• Help prepare the quarterly and annual US federal and state income tax provision and audited financial statements for a publicly-traded corporation.
• Gather information and prepare workpapers for US income tax returns prepared by external advisors.
• Utilize technology, including AI, to support continuous improvement of our processes.
• Conduct research on tax issues and prepare analysis and recommendations for the company.
• Communicate with federal or state tax authorities to resolve tax matters.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and/or in-house corporate team.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• Master’s degree in taxation preferred.
• CPA or equivalent license required.
• Understanding of ASC 740 and income tax accounting concepts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with an interest in process improvement and automation.
• Experience with ERP software, tax provision and/or tax compliance software a plus.

Pay

Atlassian follows consistent hiring practices and accounts for each candidate's skills, knowledge, and experience when setting base pay within the range. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones for this role:

• Zone A: $122,400 - $159,800
• Zone B: $110,160 - $143,820
• Zone C: $101,592 - $132,634

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity. Confirm your specific pay zone with your recruiter.
