About the role
This senior-level role will prepare and review complex tax returns, coordinate tax compliance for high-net-worth clients and related entities, and serve as a client-facing resource while partnering with Wealth Advisors, Trust Officers, Operations, and other internal teams to deliver coordinated client service. The position requires strong federal, state, local, and fiduciary tax knowledge; sound judgment; excellent analytical skills; and the ability to manage competing deadlines in a high-touch wealth management environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns, including individual income tax returns (Form 1040), gift tax returns (Form 709), partnership returns (Form 1065), private foundation returns (Form 990-PF), and fiduciary income tax returns for trusts and estates (Form 1041).
- Review assigned returns and supporting workpapers for technical accuracy, completeness, consistency with source documents, and compliance with department procedures.
- Manage the tax compliance process for a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, including gathering financial information, coordinating deliverables, communicating with clients, and addressing tax-related inquiries.
- Conduct tax research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations to management and clients.
- Coordinate tax engagement workflows and monitor filing deadlines to ensure timely completion of client deliverables.
- Assist in the preparation of estimated tax payments and extensions.
- Collaborate with Wealth Advisors, Trust Officers, and Operations teams to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and client service.
- Participate in client meetings and communicate tax matters and planning recommendations in collaboration with Wealth Advisors and Tax Management.
- Assist with tax notices, audits, and other tax authority inquiries.
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company and its clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Master's degree in Taxation preferred.
- 8-12 years of experience in public accounting, private client tax, fiduciary tax, and/or wealth management tax services.
- CPA or EA designation preferred; CFP designation is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, with significant experience preparing and reviewing Forms 1040, 709, 1065, 990-PF, and 1041.
- Experience with CCH Axcess Tax is strongly preferred. Experience with CCH Scan, Bloomberg Tax/BNA Tax Planner, CCH AnswerConnect, or Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE Trust Tax is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work in our Radnor, PA office three days per week.

Pay
We expect the annual salary for this position to range between $145,000 - $185,000, depending on location and level of relevant experience, plus discretionary bonus.
Schedule
Hybrid schedule requiring three days per week in the Radnor, PA office.
