Senior Tax Accountant - CPA

We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant / CPA to play an integral role in providing sophisticated tax planning, tax compliance, and consulting services for individuals, businesses, trusts, and estates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, business, trust, and fiduciary tax returns.
• Develop proactive tax planning strategies for individuals and closely held businesses.
• Provide year-round tax consulting and advisory services.
• Research complex federal and state tax issues.
• Represent clients before the IRS and state taxing authorities when appropriate.
• Assist clients with tax compliance, estimated tax planning, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with attorneys on estate planning, business succession planning, and wealth preservation strategies.
• Review financial statements and tax information to identify planning opportunities and minimize tax exposure.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through exceptional communication and service.
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure clients receive accurate and strategic guidance.

Requirements

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5 to 10 years of public accounting experience required.
• Extensive experience preparing complex individual, business, trust, and fiduciary tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
• Experience with tax planning and strategic tax consulting.
• Experience representing clients before the IRS or state taxing authorities is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with estate and trust taxation is highly desirable.
