Senior Tax Accountant
Job Details
- Prepare and review tax returns for partnerships, real estate, and individuals.
- Research new and existing tax regulations/laws and assess their impact on the business.
- Monitor and forecast capital expenditure reserves and identify any needs based on current and future projects.
- Prepare monthly cash flow needs and risk analysis to ensure financial stability.
- Aid in preparing construction loan draw requests and managing the disbursement process.
- Aid in preparing regulatory filings and payments, ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
- Analyze financial data and reports for accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop strategies for tax planning and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or Master’s degree in Taxation is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax.
- Real estate experience is a must.
- Demonstrated ability to research and apply tax regulations/laws.
- Experience with preparing work papers and financial reports.
- Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of construction loan draw requests is a plus.
- Proven track record of handling confidential information with discretion.
