Senior Tax Accountant
About the role
Maintains tax records and prepares income tax returns and related schedules. Prepares electronic workpapers for federal, state and local income tax returns. Collects, compiles and analyzes corporate financial information in order to ensure the preparation of accurate and timely corporate income tax returns. Stays abreast of tax issues relevant to the company by participating in webcasts and research services. Clarifies supporting tax documentation where necessary with internal process owners. Organizes and maintains the company's business records through preparation of journal entries, reports and detailed analysis of accounts.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, plus 5 years of related experience. Prior work experience in a Public Accounting firm or large corporate tax department. Preparation of IRS form 1120 for large corporate taxpayers. Preparation of a high volume of state and local income tax returns, including experience with multi-state apportionment and state modifications. Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, extending beyond basic data entry, including the practical application and diagnostic understanding of complex formulas and functions. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Proven problem solving and analytical skills. Attention to detail.

$76,150 - $114,040 annually
Schedule
Hybrid - Full-time position with a 3-day in-office workweek and the option to work remotely the remaining days of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in-office attendance on other days).
