Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist / Senior Recruiter (Contract)
About the role
As a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist / Senior Recruiter at Arup, you will have a direct impact on the business by delivering top talent to the firm. As a key member of our team, you'll manage strategic recruitment responsibilities, a typical day might include developing targeted sourcing strategies for niche positions, providing data-driven market insights to senior stakeholders, leading confidential executive searches, and mentoring junior team members. You will be empowered to own your markets and provide subject matter expertise.
Responsibilities
- Lead full life cycle recruiting from strategic briefing and market analysis to onboarding, while ensuring alignment with business priorities and operational hiring needs.
- Develop and execute sophisticated sourcing strategies by leveraging market intelligence, talent mapping, and direct outreach to build diverse pipelines and attract top-tier talent.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders and hiring managers, providing data-informed insights on market trends, talent availability, and recruitment strategies.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the recruitment process, proactively attracting candidates from varied backgrounds to foster an inclusive workforce that reflects Arup's values.
- Deliver a high-touch, candidate-centric experience, managing communications and queries across internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring a seamless journey from application to offer.
- Support data integrity, compliance, and reporting by keeping our applicant tracking system updated live.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR Business Partners and global teams, including Rewards, Mobility, EDI, and Operations, to understand talent needs, drive process improvements, and maintain compliance and reporting standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, ideally within engineering, construction, or technical sectors with expertise in direct sourcing, market mapping, and engaging passive candidates.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Ability to prioritize while managing an average of 15–20 requisitions across multiple locations and multiple subject areas.
- Proficiency with handling hard to close candidates in a competitive market.
- Source high caliber active and passive candidates through various methods and tools, including networking, search tools, job boards, referrals, events and others. Use your creativity.
- Own the entire candidate experience to provide a good experience to our candidates from initial contact to closing an offer.
- Regularly manage pipeline activity and maintain data integrity, and proactively share data-centric updates with internal stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and collaborate effectively across diverse teams to make offers and effectively hire sought after talent in a competitive market.

Pay
$50 to $60 per hour.
Schedule
This is a 6-month Fixed-Term contract position. For high-performing individuals, there may be opportunities to extend the assignment and/or transition into a permanent position, subject to business requirements and organizational needs. While future employment cannot be guaranteed, we are seeking candidates interested in contributing and growing with our team.
