About the role

This role acts as a strategic advisor to hiring managers and business leaders, owning full-cycle hiring from intake through onboarding. It involves leading full-cycle recruiting efforts across various corporate functions and serving as a talent partner to hiring leaders and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for corporate functions including Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Communications, sales, operations, and other corporate requisitions across Legal, customer service, construction, procurement.
  • Partner consultatively with hiring managers and business leaders on role scoping, hiring strategy, market positioning, and interview planning.
  • Manage 15-25 open requisitions at a given time.
  • Build proactive talent pipelines through strong sourcing and social recruiting strategies.
  • Conduct structured, behavioral assessments aligned to AutoNation's DRIVE values, ensuring every hire is evaluated for both capability and culture fit.
  • Bring real-time market intelligence — compensation benchmarks, talent availability, and competitor insights — to inform hiring decisions and workforce planning conversations.
  • Own the candidate experience end to end, ensuring every touchpoint of the recruiting process reflects the AutoNation brand.
  • Use data and structured processes — leveraging Workday, Phenom, LinkedIn, Indeed — to track performance, drive consistency, and continuously improve hiring outcomes.
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) - compensation, total rewards, HRBPs, Employee Relations— and operate effectively across a matrixed organization with multiple business units and stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders, applying knowledge of organizational change and organizational psychology to support long-term team performance.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of progressive recruiting experience, including 2+ years of full-cycle, in-house/corporate recruiting experience.
  • Demonstrated success recruiting for corporate functions such as Human resources, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Communications, Operations, risk management, as well as Legal, Administrative support, Sales, and beyond.
  • Strong sourcing expertise — proactive pipelining, social recruiting, and creative talent identification strategies.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Human Resources, psychology, communications, Business, or a related field and/or an equivalent combination of education and relevant recruiting experience.
  • Working experience with Workday strongly preferred; experience with iCIMS, Greenhouse, or UKG also valued.
  • Experience operating within Centers of Excellence (COE) and matrixed organizational structures.
  • Demonstrated experience assessing talent through structured and behavioral interview techniques.
  • Adaptable, organized, and able to manage competing priorities across multiple business units.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume, and matrixed environments with the ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience with the ability to partner effectively with hiring managers, HR, and senior business leaders.
  • Ability to leverage data, market intelligence, and sourcing strategies to influence hiring decisions and improve recruiting outcomes.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and consultative skills with a focus on delivering a high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and thrive within a fast-paced, evolving environment.
