Responsibilities
- Maintains awareness of and responds to vulnerabilities in systems and networks.
- Works with System Engineering and Security teams to ensure timely remediation of identified issues.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to identify and implement strategies to reduce vulnerabilities.
- Develops and deploys Puppet or Ansible playbooks to address vulnerabilities.
- Assesses and resolves vulnerabilities in container images across registries and Kubernetes environments.
- Coordinates vulnerability scanning and patching in containerized workloads.
- Writes and updates knowledge articles as necessary.
- Defines and enforces hardening policies to enhance security.
- Reviews and prepares for planned changes in the ServiceNow environment.
- Supports planning and execution of software code upgrades as required.
Requirements
- Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience with VMware, Puppet, Ansible, imaging, Artifactory, Git.
- Experience with container platforms (Docker, Podman) and Kubernetes distributions, including familiarity with Helm or similar K8s deployment tools.
- Strong programming skills in Java and Python.
- Excellent coordination and troubleshooting abilities, especially in handling complex security incidents and escalations.
- Proficient in Linux administration.
- Extensive experience with vulnerability management tools and strong technical understanding of assessing and identifying weaknesses in cloud infrastructure services.
- Experience with container vulnerability scanning platforms and the ability to triage, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, particularly with globally distributed teams.
