About the role
The Senior Systems Engineer designs, engineers, and delivers Azure, Microsoft 365, and hybrid data center solutions, creating end-to-end cloud/hybrid architectures and overseeing operational deployment and administration.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and administer M365 workloads (Intune, Defender, Teams, OneDrive, Azure Virtual Desktop)
- Implement and troubleshoot Site-to-Site VPN connections
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot systems at customer sites
- Provide technical support for product sales, installation, and support activities
- Conduct demonstrations, customer evaluations, and ROI analyses
- Deliver technical presentations and respond to technical questions during sales calls
- Develop technical content for bids and sales proposals
- Support sales with operating system guidance, performance conversion, and complex configuration planning
- Design and recommend solutions involving Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) hybrid, Microsoft Exchange/Exchange Online (including migration and hybrid coexistence), Microsoft SQL Server, Office 365 components, and related hardware/software
- Maintain deep knowledge of operating systems, hardware, peripherals, conversion techniques, and performance optimization
- Train customers on hardware and software usage
- Cultivate ongoing customer relationships to drive additional business
- Document prospect and customer interactions, configurations, and personal activity in Salesforce.com

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from a four‑year college or university; or three to five years of related experience/training; or equivalent combination
- Seven or more years of professional experience, including at least four years installing/maintaining client/server hardware and software and five or more years working with Microsoft products and environments
- Infrastructure architecture knowledge: physical servers, storage devices (SAN/NAS/DAS), storage networking protocols (iSCSI, FC, Direct‑Attached), backup/disaster recovery concepts and implementation, and networking stack
- Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) hybrid experience; deep Exchange/Exchange Online expertise including migration methodologies and hybrid coexistence
- Microsoft SQL Server administration and migration expertise (MS SQL, SSIS, SSRS)
- Microsoft Fileserver administration including DFS replication, sharing, and migration methodologies
- Strong Group Policy and Print Server administration and migration experience
- Office 365 (stand‑alone and hybrid) expertise with migration practices from Exchange and non‑Exchange (IMAP) systems
- Microsoft Teams, Intune, Defender, and OneDrive proficiency
- Azure services configuration, implementation, and migration experience
- Microsoft SCCM understanding
- Workstation provisioning within Active Directory Forest/Domain model
- Microsoft Certified Professional Certification
Preferred
- Broad familiarity with Microsoft server platforms and technologies
- Consulting experience across diverse customer scenarios
- MCSA/MCSE/MCAA or one Microsoft Fundamentals and one Microsoft Intermediate certification (current/up‑to‑date)
Position requires up to 20% travel for installations, training, and meetings. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds for product installations.
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $110,000 – $140,000. Compensation is determined by job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and will vary among individuals.
