Senior Systems Engineer - EO/IR
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to develop laser, electro-optic, and infrared systems for our defense aerospace customers with the Integrated Survivability Systems business line. The successful candidate will work as part of a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team contributing to the design, modeling, simulation, and testing efforts that will evolve the next-generation of autonomous systems supporting the digital/electronic warfare battle environment.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this role, it will be performed fulltime on site in Merrimack, NH. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Perform systems engineering activities across the development cycle, including analysis, decomposition, derivation, and allocation of requirements
- Engage in system modeling and simulation
- Contribute to system design and development
- Support system integration and test efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related STEM field with 4+ years of related experience; or Master's degree with 2+ years
- Active Secret Clearance and eligibility for a SAP/SAR Clearance
- Experience with Systems Engineering principles
- Hands-on work with lasers or electro-optics systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers in other disciplines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the full Systems Engineering lifecycle
- Specific skills within the domains of active EO/IR, passive EO/IR, or Electronic Warfare (EW)
- Experience executing tasks in Agile Environments (Sprints, Daily Scrums, Retrospectives)
- Experience with MBSE Digital Engineering and SysML applications/tools like MagicDraw
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $97,008 - $164,914. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
