CAE USA is seeking a talented and motivated professional to join our team at our Binghamton, NY location. This role is an integral part of our mission to deliver world-class simulation, training, and mission-readiness solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain core systems that ensure reliable, high-performing simulator operation.
- Modernize legacy simulator systems with enhancements, new features, and optimized stability.
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to integrate system components seamlessly into real-time training devices.
- Support system reviews and cross-functional innovation to evolve next-generation training capabilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues across modern and legacy platforms.
- Contribute to systems that directly support pilot readiness and mission safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Systems, Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or related engineering field.
- 8+ years of systems engineering experience in the defense domain (mission systems, C4ISR, EW, avionics, sensors, or comparable).
- Demonstrated strength in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical system issues.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret or higher clearance prior to the start of employment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access.
- Flexibility to support occasional overtime, weekend work, shift work and site travel (CONUS).
Qualifications
- What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s in Systems, Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or related engineering field.
- 8+ years of systems engineering experience in the defense domain (mission systems, C4ISR, EW, avionics, sensors, or comparable).

Skills
- Knowledge of network and platform interfaces (e.g., Ethernet/TCP/IP, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429/664, serial buses).
- Strong problem-solving instincts and a passion for building reliable, high-performance systems.
- Experience working in Waterfall and/or Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience with Electronic Warfare, radar/EO/IR sensors, signal processing/DSP, or secure communications.

Pay
$153,300-169,500
Schedule
Regular hours, with occasional overtime and weekend work as needed.
Physical Demands
Must be able to perform normal office duties (e.g. sitting for long periods at a desk), travel CONUS/OCONUS via car and airplane, and climb stairs to enter and exit a simulator.
Work Environment
An office environment and manufacturing facility. Must be able to work overtime on and off-shifts as required.
Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources. Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
