About the Role

Join the Systems Engineering and Test Center (SETC) at RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, as a Sr. Systems Engineer leading the AMRAAM MIMIC development program. This fast-paced, development-critical role involves full systems engineering lifecycle leadership for a new missile simulator design project. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, mentor engineers, and ensure technical rigor across program execution.

Responsibilities

  • Create, update, maintain, and improve Cameo models for the new design
  • Model the system and system interfaces using Cameo
  • Document system requirements in DOORS
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer within and across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Cross-Functional Teams (CPTs), including cross-functional collaboration and coordination
  • Direct a small team of systems engineers in task completion
  • Monitor and report team progress and status
  • Support test equipment software integration and verification for system test

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience
  • Experience in Systems Engineering
  • Experience on missile programs
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering and associated tools including Cameo and DOORS
  • Experience with Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle
  • Active and transferable U.S. government Secret security clearance (required on day 1)
  • U.S. citizenship (required for security clearance eligibility)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics
  • Self-starter with ability to work with limited guidance
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Customer focus and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with cPDM
  • Familiarity with military systems, tactics, techniques, and procedures, along with DoD customer infrastructure experience
  • Understanding of system safety, reliability, and configuration management
  • Experience evaluating and mitigating technical risks
  • Prior experience giving technical briefs or presentations

Pay

The salary range for this role is $86,800 – $165,200 USD. The range reflects all experience levels and considers factors such as role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
