SENIOR SUPPORT WORKER - CHILDREN'S HOMES (ASCOT)
Pro Social Partners are partnering with North Star Children's Homes to recruit Senior Support Workers for their residential children's homes in the Ascot area of Berkshire. North Star is a growing residential childcare provider supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
About the role
As a Senior Support Worker, you will lead shifts, offering direction and support to residential support workers. You will provide day-to-day care, structure, and positive role modelling for the children in the home. Your responsibilities will include supporting care planning, key working, risk assessments, and daily records. You will help children build life skills, attend school, and enjoy activities and community life.
You will work a mixed shift pattern across mornings, afternoons, and full days, with on average one weekend off in three.
Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
- At least two years' experience as a Senior Support Worker or equivalent seniority in a children's home
- A calm, warm, and resilient approach to supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties
- The reliability and teamwork to help lead a safe, nurturing home
