About the role

The Supply Chain Manager will lead the supply chain strategy and operations for a growing manufacturing-focused team, driving end-to-end planning, sourcing, inventory, and logistics to support significant business growth. This role operates frequently in grey areas and requires a visionary, hands-on leader who can build structure, processes, and capabilities while partnering closely with manufacturing and cross-functional teams. The position plays a critical role in shaping the future of the manufacturing organization and ensuring that supply chain performance supports ambitious customer, cost, and service objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute short- and long-term supply chain strategies that align demand, capacity, sourcing, inventory, and logistics with business growth, customer service, cost, and working-capital objectives.
  • Lead enterprise Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP/SIOP), translating demand forecasts into executable supply, production, capacity, and inventory plans.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts and agreements with strategic suppliers and service providers, ensuring quality, cost, delivery, innovation, capacity, and continuity of supply.
  • Establish supplier segmentation, performance management, and development programs using measurable quality, cost, delivery, responsiveness, sustainability, and risk metrics.
  • Partner with manufacturing, sales, engineering, quality, finance, and operations to align product launches, make-versus-buy decisions, production schedules, material availability, and continuous improvement priorities.
  • Improve end-to-end planning and execution processes through standardized work, disciplined use of ERP and planning systems, robust data governance, automation, and clearly defined decision rights.
  • Monitor market, commodity, supplier, capacity, and logistics trends and develop mitigation plans for material constraints and supply disruptions to maintain business continuity.
  • Own inventory strategy and performance, including setting service-level targets, defining safety-stock policies, segmenting materials, reducing excess and obsolete inventory, and improving working capital.
  • Establish, track, and continuously improve supply chain performance using KPIs such as forecast accuracy, schedule attainment, supplier on-time delivery, inventory turns, purchase price variance, expedite costs, and customer service levels.
