We are supporting a growing advanced manufacturing company on their search for a Senior Supply Chain Manager. This role is responsible for leading purchasing, inventory, and logistics functions while remaining actively involved in day-to-day procurement activities. The Supply Chain Manager will oversee supplier relationships, negotiate key contracts, manage critical and long-lead materials, and drive material availability to support production schedules. This position partners closely with engineering, planning, production, quality, and finance teams to optimize supply chain performance, improve inventory management, and support continued business growth across highly engineered manufacturing environments. Responsibilities Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team across purchasing, inventory management, and logistics functionsExecute purchasing activities for critical components, technical materials, and long-lead items required to support manufacturing operationsManage supplier relationships including sourcing, RFQs, negotiations, expediting, supplier development, and performance managementRead and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and ECOs to support accurate procurement decisionsMaintain purchasing data within ERP/MRP systems, including pricing, lead times, supplier information, and order confirmationsResolve material shortages, supplier delivery issues, engineering changes, and supply disruptions to minimize production impactsPartner closely with engineering, planning, and production teams to ensure material availability aligns with manufacturing schedulesCollaborate with production planning teams to optimize MRP execution and inventory performanceDevelop and monitor KPIs related to supplier performance, inventory turns, on-time delivery, and procurement effectivenessAnalyze inventory levels and recommend strategies to reduce working capital, improve inventory health, and optimize material flowConduct supplier evaluations and implement supplier performance improvement initiativesUtilize forecasting, analytics, automation, and other supply chain technologies to improve planning accuracy and risk mitigationIdentify process improvement opportunities and implement initiatives that enhance procurement and operational efficiencyDevelop supplier scorecards and data-driven sourcing strategies to improve long-term performance and reliabilitySupport continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing, inventory management, logistics, and supply chain operations Qualifications Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent experience6-8+ years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environmentMinimum 4 years of leadership or supervisory experienceStrong supplier negotiation and relationship management skillsExperience supporting engineering-driven manufacturing environmentsAbility to read and interpret BOMs, engineering drawings, specifications, and ECOsStrong ERP/MRP system experience and understanding of purchasing workflowsExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentPreferred Skills & AttributesAPICS, CPIM, and/or CSCP certificationExperience within electronics, HVAC, automotive, aerospace, battery manufacturing, or related technical industriesExperience leveraging AI-enabled forecasting, automation tools, analytics platforms, and advanced supply chain technologiesStrong inventory management and production planning knowledgeAbility to operate as both a strategic leader and hands-on procurement professionalProcess-improvement mindset with experience driving operational efficiencies and supply chain performance improvements
