Responsibilities
- Maintains an asset expediting database for identified inbound product and coordinates delivery, testing, inspection, assembly and trade-ins with end users and intermediate departments.
- Works closely with Purchasing and Contracts to resolve pre-delivery issues with product or purchase orders (PO).
- Affixes barcodes or RFID tags to assets upon receipt and updates the asset management system.
- Verifies contents of packages against packing slips and ensures product has proper documentation (PO #) prior to receipt in ERP and asset management systems.
- Coordinates, updates, and maintains the asset management system to track new and existing capital and non-capital assets including asset identification tagging, location identification, and physical count.
- Completes daily/weekly/monthly documentation and reporting of Key Performance Indicators for all assigned activities.
- Oversees the work of the Asset Management Technician I as required.
- Performs other duties or participates in special projects as assigned including, but not limited to leading projects, assisting customers and co-workers as needed or requested of by leadership.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred.
- Six (6) years supply chain experience.
- Two (2) years of asset management or inventory control experience.
- Experience using barcode or RFID hand scanners.
- Automated inventory management experience.
- Texas Driver's License Class C required.
- Proficiency in operating a PC.
- Proficiency in applications such as Lawson, Asset Management systems and Microsoft Office (Access, Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Understanding of medical terminology preferred.
